“Energy Awareness Workshops”, the first of the activities to be held to increase students’ awareness of energy efficiency and renewable energy, were held under the scope of The Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency Measures for Host Provinces in Turkiye With SuPT Project implemented by the Ministry of National Education through KfW with the financial support of the Europen Union.
Energy Awareness Workshops were completed with the participation of Mersin 700. Yıl Secondary School, Şanlıurfa TOKİ Şehit Adnan Yaslı Secondary School and Gaziantep Ali Topçuoğlu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School students and teachers, and the Project Implementation Unit.
Within the scope of the workshops, students were informed about the Project, and Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency presentations were made. After the presentations, our Renewable Energy Department teachers showed our students the use of renewable energy sources and working principles in a practical way using experiment sets.
After the presentations and the demonstration of the experiment sets, the students participating in the workshop were asked to write down what they learned. Students, in groups of five, worked together to define an energy efficiency slogan and designed the future of their dreams.
After the workshops, the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Construction and Real Estate Project Implementation Unit team thanked to teachers and students of Gaziantep Ali Topçuoğlu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Renewable Energy Department, Mersin Toroslar Vocational Technical Anatolian High School Renewable Energy Department and Şanlıurfa Karaköprü Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Renewable Energy Department for their contribution to the workshops.
