Supporting the Investments on the Education Infrastructure

Under the Project, schools for the Turkish and Syrian children will be constructed and the number of children and youth who access to education will be increased. The disaster-resilient and modern facilities will also contribute to a better learning environment that has a positive effect on the learning abilities of students/trainees.

With this project we will reach to;

  • 5.520 students with 6 school and 184 classrooms in Istanbul,
  • 3600 students with 5 school and 120 classrooms in Hatay,
  • 4320 students with 8 school and 208 classrooms in Adana,
  • 3600 students with 5 school and 120 classrooms in Mersin,
  • 4320 students with 9 school and 114 classrooms in Kilis,
  • 4320 students with 5 school and 128 classrooms in Konya,
  • 4320 students with 1 school and 24 classrooms in Kayseri,
  • 4320 students with 6 school and 144 classrooms in Kahramanmaraş,
  • 4800 students with 6 school and 160 classrooms in Bursa,
  • 3600 students with 7 school and 216 classrooms in İzmir,
  • 5040 students with 6 schools and 168 classrooms in Ankara,
  • 720 students with 1 school and 24 classrooms in Osmaniye,

In total 49.020 schools with 62 schools and 1634 classrooms.

Education for All in Times of Crisis I-II Projects

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Construction and Real Estate with the European Union (EU) financial support via the German Development Bank. The project commenced with the Grant Agreement in the amount of 325 million Euro in 2017 is envisaged to last 48 months.

Enhancing Quality Learning Environment

The objective of the other component is to improve the indoor and outdoor quality of schools to create an enhanced learning environment. Within this framework, the equipment and furnishing will be provided.

Project Management and Supporting School Infrastructure Investments

Organization of workshops, trainings, and other informative meetings for central and local staff of MoNE will be supported under this component for increasing the Project awareness with various communication and visibility activities.
